Who is Acorn Effect Studio?
How it began.
In 2018, a generous older gentleman taught me the art of stained glass. Through countless hours of hands on teaching Ron Vander Schaaf taught me how to design, construct and repair stained glass. Through this process I became passionate about this art, and knew I wanted to continue making it in some capacity. I began with creating pieces and selling them at various art shows. Now, with a great leap of faith, I am now a full-time stained glass artist.

The Artist
Hi, my name is Sara Strickland. The Lord has blessed me with many things throughout my life, whether I knew it at the time or not. After 13 years of working in the organ, tissue and eye organizations, this long time artist is now a full time artist!

I grew up in Wetumpka, AL and currently live in Prattville, AL. As of November 2024 I am putting my passion in the Lord's hands. This is also could not be done without the support of my husband, Daniel, and the rest of my family. Due to their support I am now making stained glass art full time and teaching one-on-one private classes. Mr. Vander Schaaf taught me to do professional work at a fair and reasonable price, and I will continue this in my work and business endeavors.
